To promote harmony in marriages, preserve the vital bonds of family relationships,

 and to educate and train families to be self-empowering.

Our Role

Communities of Western Washington African American Healthy Marriage Initiative's role in our community is to provide a quality marriage program and service for couples who want marriage for themselves and families.

Our key roles are:

*Developing a strategy

*Acquiring funds for long term stability

*Assessing the need and implementation

*Providing quality, and honest service

Through these roles we are able to:

*Ensure a coordinated and strategic approach to marital issues

*Raise the profile of marital issues and importance of a healthy marriage

*Increase opportunities for couples to access, participate in and contribute to our communities making them stronger, and healthier

*Form partnerships with other community programs and organizations to strengthen the family movement
